At PaceLab, you will train under the guidance of experienced coaches, including Steffan Jones, one of the UK’s leading fast bowling coaches. Steffan’s expertise, gained from years of coaching at the highest level, will help you unlock the technical and mental tools required to excel as a fast bowler.
Our coaching program is designed around your individual strengths and areas for improvement. Whether it’s enhancing your pace, improving your accuracy, or developing your mental resilience, we focus on the aspects of fast bowling that matter most to you.
Fast bowling isn’t just about speed; it’s about precision, consistency, and understanding the demands of the game. At PaceLab, you’ll not only develop your bowling technique but also your fitness, injury prevention, and match strategies.
To help you maximize your performance, we integrate advanced technology into your training. By using state-of-the-art equipment such as radar guns and biomechanical analysis, we provide instant feedback on your speed, accuracy, and biomechanics.
With radar guns, we can track your bowling speed and measure improvements in real-time.
This technology allows us to assess your bowling action and make adjustments to improve efficiency and reduce the risk of injury.
We provide you with digital recordings of your sessions to monitor your progress over time and identify areas for further development.
Fast bowling demands not only physical skill but also mental resilience. In PaceLab, we emphasize the importance of mental toughness in your development. Our mental performance workshops and psychology-focused coaching ensure you can handle the pressure of high-stakes matches, maintain focus, and perform consistently at your best.
We train you to perform under pressure, both in the nets and in competitive matches.
Fast bowlers need confidence, and our program includes exercises to help you develop a strong mindset and belief in your abilities.
Our training methods are designed to increase your bowling speed while maintaining accuracy. Through focused drills and biomechanical analysis, we fine-tune your action to deliver faster, more accurate deliveries consistently.
Fast bowlers need to be fit and strong. Our program includes specialized fitness routines that focus on core strength, endurance, and flexibility—all key to sustaining a long and successful career.
The demands of fast bowling are tough on the body, which is why we include injury prevention as a central aspect of the program. You’ll learn how to take care of your body and avoid common injuries associated with fast bowling.
As part of Middlesex Schools Cricket, you’ll receive coaching aligned with county-level standards. This gives you a clear pathway to develop further into the county system and potentially reach professional cricket.
Learn to overcome challenges, bounce back from setbacks, and perform at your peak. Fast bowling requires a strong mindset, and we help you build that resilience through mental conditioning techniques and workshops.
To get started, simply register for a trial session where we’ll assess your current fast bowling skills and develop a personalized coaching plan to suit your needs. We welcome bowlers of all levels—whether you’re new to fast bowling or looking to refine your skills further.
Once registered, you will be invited to attend exclusive coaching sessions designed to fast-track your development. These sessions will include:
One-on-One Coaching with expert fast bowling coaches.
Targeted Drills to improve your technique, speed, and accuracy.
Fitness and Conditioning exercises tailored for fast bowlers.
After every session, we provide you with detailed feedback using radar guns and biomechanical analysis so you can track your progress and continue improving.
